Kendall Stallard
Hello, and welcome to my world! My name is Kendall, and in addition to being a registered psychotherapist qualifying (RP-Q), I am also a student and full-time hospital worker. I have always felt a pull towards helping those in need, which is why I want to create a space for you to navigate all the twists and turns life throws our way and change some recurring/unhealthy patterns in your life for better emotional and mental wellbeing..
I take a psychodynamic approach to treatment, which involves making a connection between how your past experiences may have influenced current problems within your mind, body and spirit. I have a passion for trauma and grief counselling, and working with anyone who is looking to improve their overall wellbeing. As someone who balanced multiple jobs and full-time education while trying to maintain social relationships and hobbies, I understand that our stressors and mental health can impact not only ourselves, but all of those around us.
Through a collaborative and empathic approach, I specialize in helping those who have faced trauma, grief, and caregiver burnout to sail through the tides and return to a place of mental, social and emotional wellbeing.I completed my undergraduate degree in 2023 which involved a four-year BA with a specialization in mental health and addiction. During my time in university, I also began working in a local hospital and gained experience in many departments including intensive care and the emergency room. It was here where I gained insight on and compassion towards all of those who have experienced life-altering traumas and grieved the loss of the life they once knew.
I combine modalities from all therapeutic techniques to tailor treatment to what my client needs to reach their goal. I like to engage in dream analysis, defence mechanism awareness and analyzing relationship patterns to foster self-awareness and improve long-term wellbeing. I look forward to working with you, and thank you for reading my bio!
